Dr. Burns has eighteen years in clinical practice and has been injecting since 2017. Her training in dental medicine means she works from the underlying facial structure outward — bone, ligament, fat compartment, then skin — which is why plans here start with proportion and movement rather than a product list.
Every new patient begins with a thirty-minute consultation and leaves with a written plan, sequenced over months where that gives a better result. Nothing is treated the same day unless you want it to be.

My name is Kelly Petersen. I live in Canonsburg with my husband, two kids, and three dogs. I am super excited to have joined New Beauty as the Director of Operations, as well as the Patient Coordinator. With my background in finance, management, and customer service, I am able to work closely with clients and providers to personalize the best treatment plans and ensure daily operations maintain a smooth flow. I have a deep passion for both beauty and wellness, and helping people feel and look their best. I am dedicated to creating an exceptional experience for every client, ensuring that each visit is both relaxing and transformative. My goal for the Med Spa is to empower clients to feel confident in their own skin while helping the spa grow and thrive. I am so excited to help integrate all the best services with the newest technology to keep us all looking and feeling amazing! Outside of the Med Spa, I enjoy traveling and spending time with my family and friends, making lasting memories. I also love staying healthy, active, and connected with the latest beauty trends and self-care.

Shelly Rutkowski, MSN, APRN, FNP-C, is a board-certified Nurse Practitioner specializing in aesthetic medicine. With a strong clinical background and a passion for helping patients look and feel their best, Shelly combines advanced medical expertise with an artistic eye to deliver natural, confidence-boosting results. At New Beauty Aesthetics, Shelly offers a range of non-surgical cosmetic treatments including neurotoxins, dermal fillers, skin rejuvenation procedures, laser services and personalized skincare consultations. She is passionate about profile balancing and natural enhancements. She has 6 years of injecting experience and is ready to help with all your aesthetics needs! She is a master injector who always prioritizes health and safety for her patients. Outside of the clinic, Shelly enjoys traveling, biking and reading. She loves spending time with her friends and family as well. Shelly is looking forward to treating you.

I learned from the very best—my mother, a talented cosmetologist and artist who passed down not only her knowledge and gifts but her passion. She taught me how to care for my skin at a very young age; I used to watch her skincare routine like the masterclass it was. By age 10, I was doing her nails, and by middle school, I was already working on friends and setting trends. What hooked me wasn’t just the 'glow,' it was the look on someone’s face after a treatment. Helping people look and feel their absolute best isn’t just my job; it’s my passion!
